(see Thomas Harris (Jr) file). Baldwin Cty, Ga Court of Ordinary, Book 3 Minutes,1819-1833, page 131 James A. Hunter having made application for allon (?) of Guardianship for Sarah Harris orphan of Thomas Harris Dec'e and that gave bond surety. It was ordered that allon (?) be granted to said James A. Baldwin Cty, GA, Book 3, Court of Ordinary, pg. 34, The Executor of the will of Thomas Harris, deceased, being now in court and desiring that an administrator be appointed with the will annexed to said estate upon the property which remains undivided and that the land be surrendered up and given in charge of said administrator. Lesure be and is hereby appointed administrator of the estate of Thomas Harris with the will annexed and that said administrator take immediate charge of the remaining undivided part of said estate and that said administrator give bond in terms of the law. It appearing to the court that James Powell who was appointed guardian for Sarah Ann Harris orphan of Thomas Harris at the sitting of the court on the first Monday of March 1821, has not given bond in terms of the law and that John Ruskin at the same sitting of the court was appointed guardian for Martha P. Harris orphan of the said Thomas Harris who has also failed to give bond as aforesaid. It is therefore ordered that the before mentioned appointments of guardians be and are hereby annulled and set aside and that Drury M. Lesure be and he is hereby appointed guardian for the aforementioned Sarah Ann Harris and Martha P. Harris aforesaid and that the said Drury M. Lesure give bond as the law requires. S/H. Allen, G.
