Steve Autry Gore, 58, of Seaside Road, died Sunday, April 1, 2001, at Brunswick Community Hospital.
He was born June 22, 1942, in Brunswick County, a son of the late Cleveland and Sarah Louise Hewett Gore.
He was a member of Shallotte Masonic Lodge No. 727, Wilmington Consistory Scottish Rite and the Sudan Temple Shrine.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa Harrelson Gore; a son, Jeremy Grainger of South Brunswick; three daughters, Audria G. Fulwood and her husband, Dale, of Shallotte, N.C., Angie G. Canady and her husband, Kendall, of Ocean Isle Beach and Stephanie Gore of South Brunswick; a brother, Shelton Gore and his wife, Cynthia, of Shallotte; a sister, Emily G. Varnum of Shallotte; and three grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his brother, Gordon Gore.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 tonight at Brunswick Funeral Home and Crematory of Shallotte.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Jennies Branch Baptist Church. The Revs. Eddie Booth, Sandy Rogers, and Jesse Bentley will officiate.
Casketbearers will be Roy Murray, John Madison, Doug Roycroft, Greg Gore, Steve Kincer, and Dicky Powell. Honorary casketbearers will be Bennie Martin, Larry Holden, Larry Webb, Edward Gore, Lewis McLamb, Bill Tripp, Wayne Wall, David Gause, Jim Rabon, Bill Rabon, B.C. Jones, and Charles Nance.
