MAJOR RICHARDSON
CONWAY - Major Richardson, 79, a retired farmer, died Sunday in a local hospital. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today in Goldfinch's Conway Chapel. Burial will be in Antioch United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Richardson was born in Brittons Neck, a son of James E. Richardson and Sally Cribb Richardson. He was a Baptist.
Surviving are his wife, Mollie Watts Richardson; four sons, Ed Richardson of Wilmington, N.C., Leonard E. Richardson of Lexington, N.C., and Wendell Richardson and Lester Richardson, both of Loris; seven daughters,Ethel Fowler, Elise Causey, Jackie Strickland and Jimmie Lou Richardson, all of Loris, and Ruby Gerald, Jan Jordan and Cynthia Richardson, all of Conway; two sisters, Mary Gunter of Loris and Millie Cartrette ofClarendon, N.C.; 48 grandchildren; and 51 great-grandchildren.
