I think that the Thomas Hathaway b. abt 1795 might be a younger brother ( m. Martha Spivey) or a cousin or even a nephew of the Thomas Hathaway who had a Daugher Ann who married Isaac Wright.
Could he be the son of Thomas Hathaway who d. 1796 or the son of Thomas Hathaway b. 1764 ?

CENSUS;

Note:
In the 1850 Columbus County, census Thomas Hathaway, is listed as head of household # 496, with his wife Martha.there are 7 children in the household.
There is a 5 year gap between the child Rebecca ant the next child William H.
Could this be a 2nd. marriage or perhaps the loss of one or two children?
Thomas is living next door to Harmon Fowler and his family. (WSH)
