Hemarried Elizabeth, sister and coheir of Richard, 3rd EARL RIVERS, and 1stdaughter of Richard (WIDEVILE), 1st EARL RIVERS, by Jacqueline, orJacquette, DUCHESS OF BEDFORD, daughter of Pierre DE Luxembourg, Count ofSaint Pol Conversano, and Brienne. He died v.m., being slain on theLancastrian side at the second battle of St. Albans, 17 February 1460/1.His widow married, secretly, at her father's manor of Grafton Regis,Northants, 1 May 1464, KING EDWARD IV. She was crowned at Westminster, 26May 1465. He, who was born at Rouen, 28 April 1442, and baptized there inthe Cathedral Church, was crowned at Westminster, 28 June 1461, died atWestminster 9 April, and was buried 18 April 1483 in the Chapel of St.George at Windsor. She died in Bermondsey Abbey, where for some time she had, resided, or had been compelled by Henry VII to reside, 7 or 9 June,and was buried 12 ]une 1492 at Windsor, with the King, her 2nd husband.[Complete Peerage V:361-2, (transcribed by Dave Utzinger)]
