BARONY OF LOVEL (II)
JOHN (LOVEL), LORD LOVEL, son and heir by 2nd wife, aged 22 at hisfather's death. In 1302 he had been put in possession of the manor ofTitchmarsh. He had livery of his lands 15 December 1310, and the Kingpardoned the relief due from him. He was summoned to Parliament f rom 16June 1311 till his death.
He married Maud, eventually heir of her brother, Edward BURNELL [LORDBURNELL and daughter of Sir Philip BURNELL, of Acton Burnell, by Maud,sister of Richard (FITZALAN), EARL OF ARUNDEL, and daughter of JohnFITZALAN. She was aged 25 in 1315. He died 24 June 1314, being killed atBannockburn. His widow, Maud, was suing for her dower in February 1314/5.She married, before 4 Dember 1315, and without the King's licence, SirJohn DE HAUDLO, who died 5 August 1346.
