Margaret,dau. and heir of Sir John Longvillers, of Hornby Castle, in Lancashire,and d. in the 13th Edward I [1285], being then seized of the manor ofAppleby and other lands in Lincolnshire, the castle and manor of Hornby,co. Lancaster, and Hoton-Longvillers and other manors in Yorkshire, theentire of which he acquired by his wife. He was ancestor of the Nevillsof Hornby.
