He [John de Mohun] married, 2ndly, early in 1325 or previously, Sibyl,widow of Henry DE LORTY, 1st Lord Orty (died 1321). He died 25 August1330, and was buried in the church of Dunster Priory, probably on thenorth side of the chancel. He [Henry del Ortlay/Lorty/Urtiaco] m. Sibyl (m) and d. before 15 Sep1321. Dower was assigned to his widow on 15 Oct. In June 1324 she hadlicence to marry whom she would, and by 1325 was married to John deMohun, 1st Lord Mohun. She appears to have died between Sep and Nov1337, when she was buried at Curry Rivell. (m) Cal. Patent Rolls, where the wife's name is erroneously given asMabel. Her parentage has not been ascertained. She was possbily heiressof the manor of Downhead, which her husband's [sic. I believe CP meanstheir son Sir John's] daughter and heir Sibyl, with her second husband[Robert Holm, who has not been identified], conveyed to Muchelney Abbey,with warranty against the heirs of Sibyl the daughter. This manor wasnot Lorty property.
