http://www.myfamily.com/exec?c=home&htx=PopSite&popsiteid=Ht9GAE All MyFamily sites were closed presipitously in 2014 on orders of Ancestry bot com, who were not willing to preserve what the prior MyFamily owners had guaranteed would remain for their members. MyFamily was too much competition for the genealogy monopoly whale Ancestry bot com.
Alexander Adams is a grandson of James and Sarah (McKinney quite possibly but certainly not certainly from what is known to date) Wylie, County Antrim, Ireland immigrants to South Carolina in 1767 with a family including his mother and possibly Sarah's mother, a Mary McKinney or possibly McKinley (both spellings are used in the earliest property documents) . We have a Wylie MyFamily genealogical resarch archives for many Wylie families including this one, one for which we have photos of and/or scans of some documentation of the Protestant Irish emigration from as early as the arrival by 22 December 1767 and more on the original family and much collected on its descendants from various sources including the internet. Descendants and their spouses are welcome to access to the free and quite private site to learn and to aid in extending our archives to a fuller and broader display of Wylies in America (and when it proves possible Wylies, as it has for some branches of Wylies, in the British Isles).
The link above is to an admittedly insufficient summary of what the site includes, but please do note that we have about 10,000 posts, reasonably well categorized by dozens of categories found in each of three major sections, News, Photos and History to aid in separating the individual as-yet-unconnected Wylie families of the region as they extend west and south.
