Hij is getrouwd met Lucretia Ann Kittrell.
Just to fill in the blanks: Robert French died on December 8, 1912; Lucretia on January 14, 1928 (as reported in pension record below; Robert's dod supported by notice in Holmes County Advertiser, Bonifay, Florida: "Saturday, December 14, 1912, In the death of "Uncle Bob" French and Mr. Clayton Reynolds our community has lost two more valuable and highly respected citizens, both of whom died Sunday night and were buried at the camp ground cemetery Tuesday," although his headstone reportedly reads 1913. Lucretia's date of death on headstone is given just as 1928).I'm also going to suggest that Lucretia's middle initial in the category heading should be changed from "C" to "A." From her gravestone, her middle name was "Ann," which is also supported by appearing as "Crissey A." in the 1860 Census. Her names in the records are as follows: 1850 Census, Lucretia; 1860 Census Crissey A.; 1870 Lucretia C.; 1880 Chrise; 1900 Lucretia; 1910 Chrissie; 1920 Cressie; Civil War pension application appears as Cressie and Crissie;* 1928 gravestone says Criss Ann (Campground Cemetery, Holmes Co., FL).I'm thinking the middle initial "C" appearing in 1870 is a confusion by the census taker, since Lucretia seems to have usually gone by the nickname "Crissie" or "Cressie" (derived from Lucretia).Does that sound logical?Marlys Pearson*Note: I haven't seen the pension files myself (yet!), am going from what was reported in the French Genforum board as follows:John,I was looking for info on my Robert French who was in Taylor Co FL after the CW. I sent for the Pension records of Robert French who was in Co B, 1st Cav Rgmt, USA and find this isn't my man. Mine was married to a Susan, and this one was married to a Cressie French, of Westville, Holmes Co, FL, whose pension was dropped due to her death Jan 14, 1928. Robert French died 8 Dec 1912. Robert "Uncle Bob" French
Birth: Mar., 1834

Death: Dec., 1913

Florida, USA
Robert French is the husband of Lucretia "Criss" Ann (Kittrell) French. He was a F/B Indian and one of his sons, Ezekial "Zeke" Craven French served as the Chief of Choctawhatchee Creek Indians.
Robert French served in "Co. G 2nd Fl Cav" of the Civil War. March 1834 is the d.o.b he stated on his war record. He might have stated this date so that he would be considered old enough to serve in the war? The cemetery transcription states his d.o.b as 1838, so the exact date is still a question at this time.
Below is a copy of the obituary article published in the Holmes County Advertiser.
