Elmer Pitman, 81, Cains Store, died Thursday at his home.
He was born in Casey County, May 2, 1890, son of William Franklin Pitman and the former Emma Ellen Flanagan, both deceased.
Survivors include two sons, Chester and Emery, both of Cains Store; two daughters, Mrs. Ilene Prows of Norwood, Ohio, and Mrs. Edith Webb of Forrest Park, Ohio, and one brother, Carl of Farmers City, Illinois.
He had lived in Pulaski County all his life and was a farmer. He was a member of the Cedar Point Baptist Church and Somerset Post 38 of the American Legion.
Funeral services were conducted today at the chapel of Morris and Hislope Funeral Home with Rev. D.A. Linville officiating. Burial was in the Mill Springs National Cemetery.
