Clarence Wesley of Bethelridge died March 5, 2007 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset. He was 88. Born in Casey County on April 30, 1918, he was the son of the late Orville McKinley and Victoria Smith Wesley. He was a farmer and member of Ferndale Baptist Church. He was the widower of Luevernie Gadberry Wesley. Survivors include six daughters, Dorothy Marie Terwilliger and Lafern Blevins, both of Liberty, Ethel Mayrine Haste and Mary Rose Haste, both of Science Hill, Audrey Faye Ball of Frankfort and Aline Burton of London; seven sons, Estel McKinley Wesley and Roy Dee Wesley, both of Harrodsburg, Vernon T. Wesley of New Whiteland, Ind., Rufus Jay Wesley and Lester Lee Wesley, both of Bethelridge, Chester Thomas Wesley of Charlestown, Ind. and Wayne Lincoln Wesley of Hustonville; 26 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Ovaline Gadberry of Liberty and Edith Fee of Cincinnati. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Ruth Wesley; a brother, Edwin Thomas Wesley; and two sisters, Myrtie Wesley and Christine Thompson. Funeral services were March 8 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by Bros. David Terwilliger and Bobby Clark. Burial was in Watson Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers were Greg, Kirby, Phillip, Jeffery, Roy Dee and Kevin Wesley, Gary Haste, Keith Ball and Bryan Terwilliger.
