Born in Vicksburg on Aug. 17, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Hugh L. Logue Sr. and Ella Mae Barnes Logue. Dorothy Faye was a graduate of St. Francis Xavier Academy in the class of 1957. She was the bookkeeper of Vicksburg Catholic School for over 35 years prior to her retirement.
Dorothy Faye was a member of the Friendship Club of Edwards and a communicant of St. Paul Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, William H. “Billy” Kittrell Sr. of Edwards; two sons, Howard Kittrell (Tracy) of Florence and Glenn Kittrell (Kim) of Edwards; five grandchildren, Amy K. Brown (Brian), Brooke Kittrell, Glenn Alan Kittrell, Lauren Gentry and Lee Gentry; and a brother, Hugh L. Logue Jr.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a son, Steven Hugh Kittrell.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Catholic Church with Monsignor Patrick Farrell, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be at Edwards Cemetery. Visitation will be at Riles Funeral Home from 5 until 7 tonight with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Pallbearers will be B.P. “Pete” Buford, Brian Brown, Tom Wallace, Jimmy Salmon, Gene Rogillio and John Given.
Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Barnes, Michael Logue, Keith Logue, Michael Hall, Eddie Smith, Johnny Phillips, Hunter Herrington, Kenny Channell and Jimmy Halford.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
