Johnnie Morris Adams

Johnnie Morris Adams, son of the late Carroll and Nannie Helton Adams was born in Pulaski County on September the 6th 1936 and departed this life on Feb. 10, 2007 having attained the age of 70 years.
He married Joyce Dean Harrison Adams on March 1,1958, there were four children to this union, Rodney Adams, Tami Adams Stout, Terry Adams Harrison, and Ken Adams. There are several grandchildren and Great grandchildren.
He was a retired Shift Supervisor at Cooper Power Plant. He enjoyed writing music and pitching horseshoes, which in 2003 he won the State Tournament in his class. He also was voted the pitcher of the year in 2003 and he attended Potter’s Place Baptist Church.
He is survived by, seven sisters, and one brother. Virginia Meece, Odetta Sluterback, Lorene Ping, Alma McKee, Margaret Sullivan, Mary Cook, Sue Stogsdill, and James Adams. He is preceded in death by, his parents, a brother, Carl Jr. Adams, and a sister, Pauline Loveless.
Funeral services will be held 1:00pm, Monday, February 12, 2007 at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Clyde Strunk, and Bro. Harold Wright, officiating. Burial will be in Pitman Creek Cemetery, Somerset, KY.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 11, 2007 after 6:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Potter’s Place Baptist Church.
