Jesse V. Kittrell, 84, died on Saturday, October 6, 2007, at his residence in Lake Park. Born in Whynot, MS to the late John L. & Ollie Brown Kittrell, and formerly of Ft. Worth, TX, he had lived in this area since 1988. Mr. Kittrell was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army Air Corps, and retired from the Vought Aircraft Corporation having served as an Aerospace Engineer. He was a member of the Francis Lake Golf Club and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Sanders Kittrell, of Lake Park, a sister, Lucille Stancil of Jackson, MS; two step daughters, Connie (Phil) McAtee of Warner Robbins, and Dodie (
Gary McKown of Valdosta; two step sons, Stephen (Jeannece) Gilbert, of Lakeland, FL and Robert Gilbert of Lake Park; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 10, 2007. Burial of the cremains will follow at a later time in Greenwood Memorial Park, in Ft. Worth, TX. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace Hospice, 410 Cowart Ave, Valdosta, GA 31602.
