Melba Arnold "Tee" Kittrell
A retired executive secretary with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana and resident of Pointe Coupee Healthcare, she died at 1 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10, 2007, at Pointe Coupee Healthcare.
She was 77 and resided in New Roads for the past 3 years. Visiting at Niland's Funeral Home, New Roads, on Wednesday, Sept. 12, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Jeremy Jones.
Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park, Baton Rouge. Survived by her daughter, Lana Moran, of Florida; two grandchildren, Summer Stevens and Sid Stevens; niece, Lesley Martin, of Broussard; nephew, Mike Miller, of New Roads; and numerous cousins and many friends.
Preceded in death by her mother and father, Melba and Bill Arnold; husband, Tommy Kittrell; sister, Joy Miller; and niece, Tracy Miller.
Melba "Tee" was a graduate of Denham Springs High School and active in her class reunions. She started a working career in radio with WLCS in Baton Rouge and later worked for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana, where she retired. She was a longtime resident of Baton Rouge until she moved to Maison Pointe Coupee in New Roads. She was better known as a quiet and genteel woman. She never said a bad word about anyone and was always gracious and kind. She will always be remembered for her love of her coffee, cigarettes and her cat and she will be missed by both family and friends.
