He was born July 18th, 1923 in Bethelridge, Kentucky, son of the late Hezekiah Spears and Anna Carter Spears. He was a United States Army WWII Veteran, an Auto Body Repairman for Marlers Body Shop and an at large member of the American Legion and a member of the Campground Baptist Church, Somerset, Kentucky.
He is survived by his wife; Mildred Adams Spears: one son Larry Douglas (and Heather) Spears, Somerset, Kentucky.
He is preceded in death by his parents: one infant son; David Spears: 1st wife; Geneva Wesley Spears: 4 brothers; Curtis, Hoy, Marvin and Warren Spears: 3 sisters; Ivory Stephens, Ida Surber and Ila Spears.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 28th, 2005 at Mill Springs National Cemetery, Nancy, Kentucky with burial to follow. Visitation will be after 6:00 p.m., Sunday, November 27th, 2005 at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
