Will wr 8 may 1728 pr 13 apr 1734 lists: sons: Abraham Jetnett Durant and Aaron Durant and Moses Durant. witness is Zeb Clayton. Joshua Dicks-friend. 1695-juror in prct of Picquemon. internet files show birthdate as 28 oct 1668 and death bef 14 apr 1734.

Since this will omitted grandchildren it is entirely possible that our Ann Durant, if we have one, was dead as of 1728, leaving poor Jonathan with a young family, or that all his daughters were omitted, more likely, since there share was smaller and paid at the time of marrige.

***DOCUMENTATION OF MUCH OF THIS PERSON'S LIFE IS NEEDED. Thomas Durant is only attached to remind us to prove Thomas was the father-in-law of Jonathan through one of his two (the second much more probably even though still improbable) daughters name Ann by her marriage to Jonathan Kittrell (and to prove her parentage).***
