Clemmie Carrie Mintz was born 27 Mar 1891 in Calhoun County, Alabama
a daughter of Alex L. and Mary Catherine W. Mintz. Clemmie married in
Calhoun County on 24 Nov 1915 to Roland Lee Watson who was born 6 Aug
1888 a son of Pinkney Mosley Watson (b. 2 Aug 1839 d. 4 Dec 1920) and
his wife, Frances Amey Weaver (b. 27 Nov 1846 d. 19 Feb 1915). Roland
was a farmer just eastof Oxford, Alabama where he grew vegetables to
sell in nearby Anniston. Theylost this farm during the Depression bu
t Roland was able to save enough money to purchase another farm near J
acksonville, AL. During the war, Roland worked as a carpenter on Fort
McClellan. He died near the lake on his farm on 13Sept 1949 and is bu
ried at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Alexandria, AL. After Roland's death, Cle
mmie and her son, James Richard, moved from Jacksonville, Alabamato P
ine Bluff, Arkansas where Mary Estelle, her daughter who was in the ci

. Army serving as a First Lieutenant from 1942 to 1945. She served in
England, France, and Okinawa returning to the States at the end of Wor
ld War II.She then entered Catholic University in Washington, D.C. wh
ere she was namedin "Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities.
" She graduated in 1948and entered Carmelite Monastery where she beca
me "Sister Marie." She residesin the Carmelite Monastery in Lafayette
, Louisiana

r Force, he flew with Air America, well-known for operating behind th
e lines of other countries. After retiring, he moved to Warrensburg, M
issouri where he opened an Oriental food and grocery store. Robert ha
s been married twice and has a child by each wife. Hecurrently lives
in Kansas City, Kansas
