Her obituary was found among the papers of Clara Belle Wylie
Hastings inCT in 1994. It states: Her funeral was held at home
with the Rev. G. N.Rainer and the Rev. L. E. Houston, Jr., a
grandson, officiating. She was amember of the Ft. Valley
Methodist Church, the WSCS, the Daughters of theAmerican
Revolution, and United Daughters of the Confederacy. It says
shewas born in Chester, S. C., and that she died unexpectedly.
