    She and Powhatan Sampson Wren Jr. , Julia Lee Wren and Francis Jefferson Wren were enumerated in the census of 1 June 1900 in the household of Powhatan Sampson Wren and Martha Campbell in Galveston, Galveston County, Texas, at 2306 Avenue J; living in some sort of boarding house with Claude & Frances Cochran.
    The following appeared on 4 April 1909 in the Galveston Daily News: A wedding of much interest, though solemnized out of the city, is the Wren-Prendergast nuptials, on April 15, in Waco. Mrs. M. C. Wren, mother of the groom will attend and will be joined by Mrs. Kleber Lee, Miss Carnie Wren, and Mr. Frank Wren, all from Fort Worth. Miss Carnie Wren will be one of the bride's attendants, and Mr. Garland Tobin will be Mr. Wren's best man. Mr. Wren will bring his bride here immediately after the ceremony, and on Saturday afternoon, April 17, from 4 to 6, Mrs. M. C. Wren will entertain with a tea in honor of this bride.
    The following appeared on 11 April 1909 in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram: Mrs. Connelly Prendergast of 903 South Henderson street, is in Waco for the Wren-Prendergast wedding whichtakes place April 15. Mrs. C. M. Wren, mother of the groom, will attend and will be joined by Mrs. Kleber Lee, Mis Carnie Wren and Mr. Frank Wren from Fort Worth. Miss Carnie Wren will be one of the bride's attendants. The bride, Miss Stella Prendergast, is a well known society girl, having often contributed her bright, happy presence to various socialfunctions in Fort Worth, where she has a large host of friends.
    The following appeared on 20 October 1909 in the Galveston Daily News: Mr. Bryant Goree of Fort Worth and Miss Carnie Wren of this city are to be married on the 17th of November. Miss Wren has been residing in Fort Worth for the past two years with her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Kelber Lee, and en route home she stopped in Houston, the guest of her brother, Mr. Clark Campbell Wren and his wife. While in that city the secret of the coming nuptials slipped out. Miss Wren is the youngest daughter of Mrs. Mattie Campbell Wren of this city. She is a graduate of the Bail? High School and numbers a large circle of friends here. Mr. Goree is likewise well known here, as he at one time resided in this city and is a member of a prominent Texas family residing in Huntsville.
    The following appeared on 14 November 1909 in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram: Cards have been received in Fort Worth which read: Mrs. Martha Campbell Wren invites you to be present at the marriage of her daughter, Lucie Caroline, to Mr. Bryant Kittrell Goree, on Wednesday evening, Nov. 19, 1909, at 6 o'clock, at her residence, Galveston, Texas. At home after Dec. 15, Fort Worth, Texas.
    The following appeared on 14 November 1909 in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram: The Fort Worth Club tendered its president, Bryan K. Goree, a smoker Saturday night, complimentary to his marriage, Wednesday, to Miss Connie Wren of Galveston. Practically all of the 200 members of the club were present, and the festivities continued until the hands of the clock marked midnight. An orchestra furnished music for the occasion, and many short talks were made, some serious, some humorous, but all full of cordial good wishes to the president and his bride-to-be.
    She married Bryant Kittrell Goree , son of Robert Daniel Goree and Frances Rebecca Campbell , on 17 November 1909 in Galveston, Galveston County, Texas, at her mother's residence. B. K.'s mother and Lucie's maternal grandfather were sister and brother (Campbell family). And his father and her maternal grandmother were first cousins (Goree family)..
    The following appeared on 18 November 1909 in the Galveston Daily News: The marriage of Mr. Bryant Kittrell Goree of Fort Worth to Miss Lucie Caroline Wren was solemnized Wednesday evening at 8 o'clock with a beautiful home ceremony at the residence of the bride's mother, Mrs. Martha Campbell Wren. Chrysanthemums. . . . The ribbon bearers were the two schoolgirl cousins of the bride, Misses Emma Lee and Ann Kauffman. . . . With [the bride's mother] Mrs. Wren was her daughter[-in-law] Mrs. Clarke Campbell Wren of Houston. . . . The bridesmaids and groomsmen were: Misses Margaret Polk of Sherman, Annie Harris of Texarkana, Frances Goree of Austin; Messrs. Norman Kittrell of Houston, Frank Wren of Fort Worth and Tom Caldwell of Fort Worth. . . . Miss Julia Lee Wren, the bride's sister, was maid of honor, and Mr. Wilmot O'dell of Cleburne was best man. . . . Rev. Charles s. Aves, rector of Trinity Episcopal Church, officiated. The bride enetered with her brother, Mr. Clark Campbell Wren of Houston. . . . Mr. and Mrs. Goree left on the evening train for the East and will reside in Fort Worth, where their own home is ow being built. The groom is a member of the law firm of Cowan, Barney & Goree, one of the best-known firms in Fort Worth. His family is originally from Knox City, Tenn., and like the bride's family has prominent connections all through the state. . . . Among the relatives and friends from out of the city were: Miss Lucy Quarles, Fort Worth, Mr. H. D. Ponton, Houston; Mrs. Kelber Lee, Fort Worth; Mr. and Mrs. D. M. Campbell, Houston; Miss Evelyn Campbell, Houston; Miss Mary Berry, Fort Worth, Miss Robert Goree, Huntsville.
    Lucie Caroline Wren and Bryant Kittrell Goree appeared in the census of 15 April 1910 in Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, at 1416 Henderson Street.
    The following appeared on 5 July 1910 in the Galveston Daily News: Misses Julia Wren and Ann Kauffman have returned from a most enjoyable visit in Fort Worth and Waco. At the former city they were entertained by Mrs. Kleber Lee and Mrs. Bryan Goree, and at the latter by Judge Prendergast and Mrs. Joseph Wren.
