ROBERT NORMAN KITTRELL, 66, of Memphis, mechanical engineer for Griffith C. Burr, Inc., died Thursday at St. Francis Hospital after a long illness. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel with burial in Delta Heights Cemetery in Cleveland, Miss. He was a Mason, Shriner and member of Whitehaven United Methodist Church. He was also an Army veteran of World War II. He won the Ashrae Energy Award in 1987. He designed heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems for for several institutions. Kittrell, the husband of Dell Homer Kittrell, also leaves a daughter, Mrs. Pam Wilson of Starkville, Miss.; two sons, Donny Whitten and Guy Whitten Jr., both of Cleveland, and eight grandchildren. The family requests any memorials be sent to Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center.
