married Frances Ann Boyd about 1848, Brunswick Co, NC. No records found.
Amanda Gore b. abt 1858. Listed in 1850 census.
1860 census lists more siblings.
John enlists in 30th Infantry Co, C in 1861-62, gets wounded and has a furlough from Camp Winder hospital in Richmond Va. Goes home and he and Francis conceive another child.
Returns to his unit and gets killed in Chancellorsville, VA. May 3, 1863. No records of burial place.
Frances Ann had 2 more sons after his death between 1865 and 1870 and appears with a Samuel Bell Stanaland in the 1870 census.
1850 census lists a Calvin Gore age 21, merchant.
1880 census Calvin is listed as a Gore, and in 1870 as a Stanaland. Older brother William Gore, is 3 years old in the 1870 census - not sure who is his father.
1880 census name changed to Stanley.
Amanda Gore married a William Malcolm Parker in 1874. No records found.
