Zij zijn getrouwd op 12 mei 1821 te Berghem, Noord-Brabant, Nederland .
[februari 1857 Anna Maria Vondenhuevel- Van Berkel ( she was a widow for many years) she sold her
little farm in the village Berghem and acres for 537 Dutch Guilders and went with her two sons
and daughter to Minster Ohio.,
This was not an easy decision, but she wanted fot her children a new future who should be better
than in Holland.,
In the Netherlands there was a potato-blight. Besides her daughter had a courtship with Henry
Vanderhorst, who was born in Oss near Berghem in The Netherlands (Holland). He went to Ohio in
the year 1852 and Henry Vanderhorst and Henrietta Vondenhuevel wanted to marry as soon as possible.,
You needed much courage to take such a decision. It was a big adventure and they had to conquer
man problems. But they had hope in the New World of the United States.,
April 29th 1857 they arrived in New York. It is likely, that they found In the year that they
lived for some time in the house of Henry Vonderhorst.,
Probably Anna Maria Vondenhuevel-van Berkel was very fatigued by the long journey from Berghem to
Minster Ohio.,
It must have been very very sad for her children and Anna Maria Vondenhuevel-van Berkel herself,
that she died in September 1857. She was burried on St. Augustine Cemetery September 29th 1857.],
