February 20, 1861, (executed 1866) I, James Henderson, do hereby make this my last will and testament inm anner and form following. That is to say, first I desire all theperish able property or a sufficient part thereof to pay my debts andfuneral e xpenses to immediately be sold after my decease and applied tothat purp ose: secondly, after the payments of my debt and funeralexpenses, I giv e to my daughter Nancy Bond one dollar; thirdly, I give mydaughter Jane G ilbert one dollar; fourthly, I give my daughter Ester Rayone dollar; fi fty, I give my son Robert J. Henderson one dollar; sixthly,I give my so n James Henderson one dollar; seventhly, I give my sonAlexander M. Hend erson one dollar; eighthly, I give my daughter MatildaTabor one dollar; n inthly, I give my daughter Melinda Noland one dollar;tenthly, I give Ly dia Missourickabee**** to have and to hold during herlifetime and afte r her decease to her children, Martha Ann and WilliamDavid, to be equal ly divided between them, the land deeded to them by me,but deed not rec orded, lying on the upper end of my place, six or sevenacres of it bein g improved, the whole being seventy five acres more orless. Eleventhly, I g ive all the residue of my land and personal propertyof all description t o my wife Jane Henderson, during her naturallifetime, should she surviv e me, and after her decease the same shall goto my daughter Mary Hollan d, her heirs and assigns forever, and lastly, Ido hereby appoint and co nstitute my son-in-law, Oliver P. Holland,executor of this my last will a nd testament, hereby revoking others orformer wills or testaments by me h eretofore made. /s/ Harvey Henderson****There is no indication of the relation to this woman LydiaMissouric kabee. In 1860 Lydia and her children are living right next doorto Jame s & Jane Henderson in a seperate household. Lydia's children havethe la st name Lowder. Lydia's occupation is listed as a "househand". Sheis 5 1 and blind. Perhaps she was the personal housekeeper of theHenderson' s and he saw fit to take care of her and her family byproviding for the m in his will.
