Martin moved to Texas after Lucinda's death according to Garland Lacy, decendent of Matilda Ingram, Lucinda's sister. from Dan Krutsinger, a direct descendant:
From pension file, he is described as 5'8" with dark complesion, hazel eyes and black hair. He was in Cooke Co., TX in 1886, then Grayson Co., TX. He claimed loss of his left eye due to some explosion in driving a team at Carmango, Mexico. -from Jydy (XXXXX@XXXX.XXX)
There is confusion in whether this Martin is son of Martin, son of Martin's son, Jacob, or son of someon else. We believe he should be placed here based upon the will of Jacob Cutsinger. Jacob recognized the children of his deceased son, John, in his will. Had the Martin (who was born in 1822 and died of Small Pox in 1863) been his son, he would surely have also recognized that Martin's kids in his will. Futher, it seems likely that this Martin Krutsinger, born in 1825, who married Lucinda Ingram and was listed in the 1850 Orange Co., Indiana census was a son of Jacob. He does not appear after the 1850 census and may have died without issue. Thus he was not listed in Jacob's will because he preceeded his father in death and had no children for Jacob to recognize.
