?Peter Braziel (Sometimes spelled Brazil, Brazille or Braziell) was born Pierre Lagrave at St. Francois-du-Lac, Quebec, Canada, on June 16, 1832 and was baptized the following day in the Catholic Church of that Parish. (His death certificate says born June 25, 1832.) He was the third of 17 children born to Francois Lagrave (aka Frank Brazil) and the third of 9 born to Ursule Wasamimet (aka Lucy Emmett) of the Abenaki Village of Odanak (St. Francois-du-Lac, Province of Quebec, Canada). . . .
