FONDA, May 18.—Charles J.Bell, Charleston Four Corners, died Wednesday evening at 6:30 o'clock in the Ellis Hospital, Schenectady, where he had been a patient since Sunday. Mr. Bell had been in declining health for the past fifteen
years. Death was due to arteriosclerosis.
Born in the Town of Charleston July 11, 1858, a son of Joseph and Lucy Ann Humphrey Bell, he made his home in that town for 43 years, following the occupation of farmer. He married Etta Montanye March 2, 1884, at Rural Grove.
Fifteen years ago he retired and moved to Charleston Four Corners, where he since resided. Mr. Bell attended the Charleston Four Corners Christian Church.
The survivors are his wite; three daughters, Mrs. Inez Stewart, Mrs Florence Fox of Schenectady and Miss Lelia Bell, Charleston Four Corners; three sons, Frank Bell, Gloversville. Clarence Bell and Howard Bell, Charleston Four Corners, and one brother, John Bell, also of Charleston Four Corners.
The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home,in Charleston Four Corners and 2:50 o'clock in the Christian Church, Charleston Four Corners, the pastor, the Rev. Harry Christiana, Fultonville. officiating. Interment will be in the family plot in Charleston Four Corners Cemetery.
