PHYLLIS AUDREY BILL
WAYLAND - Phyllis Audrey Bill, 73, of State Rt. 63, passed away Saturday (Jan.
27, 2001) at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville, after a short illness. Phyllis was born March 22, 1927 in Bath, a daughter of Leo and Mildred (Montanye)
Wixom. She was a graduate of the North Cohocton-Atlanta High School in 1944. She attended Buffalo State Teachers College and Rochester Business Institute. As a young woman she worked in the buyers office at Sibleys in Rochester. She is survived by her husband, Donald K. Bill. The two were married on April 29, 1949 in
Atlanta. She was a homemaker and mother of two daughters. Phyllis loved to
write, cook, sew and work in her garden. She loved animals, especially dogs and cats, but most of all, she loved her family.
Phyllis was a member of the Wayland United Methodist Church where she was very
active in the United Methodist Women's Group and taught Sunday School. She was also a member of the Home Bureau and a past Wayland Girl Scout Leader. She was an avid historian, pianist and artist. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Donald; two daughters, Sally (Craig) Smith of Houston, TX and Nancy (Wayne) McIntyre of Perkinsville; four grandchildren, Heather and Justin Smith and Lynne and Lee McIntyre; one sister, Shirley (Roy) Gibson of Wayland; one brother, Leo Wixom Jr. of West Unity, OH; one brother-in-law, Malcolm Bill of Penfield; sister and brother-in-law, Wilma and Elma Mills of Webster; several nieces, nephews,
grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins.
Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday (Jan. 30, 2001) at the Walter E.
Baird & Sons Funeral Home, 100 E. Naples St., Wayland, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday with Rev. Osceola Wharton officiating. Burial will be in the Village Cemetery,
