Once established brought every member of the family who wanted to come. 1844 bought 80ha estate between Mt Hobson and Mt St John, Akl.54 parcels of land at his death incl two corners of Queen and Customs Sts on thelandward side, one now occupied by the Dilworth building. No children. Chooseson of sister Eleanor Mossman. Nephew rebelled (wanted to be a policeman). Left to Dilworth trust instead. Clannish. Protestant Ulster Irish. Spouse name: Mary Bell There was a John Dilworth living in Lisburn, Co. Antrim in 1622. He was believed to have come from Lancashire a few years earlier during the Plantation of Ulster. His descendants lived in Seagoe, Portadown and Killyman, Dungannon. I doubt whether the Co.
