  Bosklopper, Frederik & Wilhelmina Hendrika (Dovianus) Nathan and Zilpa Prins and their two infant children managed to continue living in Amsterdam until mid-1943 by using false identity papers. However, witnessing the razzias and the frequent house searches and realizing that their time was running out, they contacted a non-Jewish friend who was working for the Red Cross and asked her to help hide their children. Through her, it was arranged for two women from the underground to meet the Prins couple while they were out walking three-month-old Jozef in his baby carriage. The women would join them for the walk and then continue with the baby carriage. The switch went as planned and, without telling Nathan and Zilpa where their child was being taken for security reasons, the women took Jozef to the Bosklopper family in Eibergen, Gelderland. Zilpa and her two-year-old daughter succeeded in finding a hiding place; Nathan was seized and taken to Bergen-Belsen, where he survived the war. Frederik and Wilhelmina Bosklopper were devout Christians and had two young children. They did not even hesitate when asked to take in baby Jozef although all they knew about him was his first name and his date of birth. They never asked for financial compensation. For them, saving the life of a Jewish baby was a privilege, not a danger. Through their connections with the underground, Jozef was registered in the family identity book as one of their own children, but under a different first name. They treated him like their own child, giving him all the care and love that a baby needs. Jozef remained with the Boskloppers until the end of the war, and beyond, until his parents found his name on a Red Cross list of surviving children and went to fetch him. At first, the two-year-old did not want to join his natural parents but after they visited the Boskloppers several times he was happy to go home with them. The Prinses and the Boskloppers remained in close contact until the Prinsfamily immigrated to Israel in 1954. They reestablished contact in 1978, when they reunited in Israel. On March 25, 1981, Yad Vashem recognized Frederik Bosklopper and his wife, Wilhelmina Hendrika Bosklopper-Dovianus, as Righteous Among the Nations.
