THOMAS BRASSEY came to America in 1682 with the same group of people with whom the Pusey's and Worley's had come over with. He was the head of the planning committee and was called a first purchaser of 5,000 acres of land. Later he helped plan the city of Philadelphia. His wife was ANN SCOTT.a married John Hendricks, Brassey married Lurena Christopher.er County and Rebeckah Worley of the same place is said County at Chester Meeting House; the 20th of Feb.1718. He also resided on his own plantation of 500 acres in Conestoga Township and on James Logan's tract of 500 acres. Then he moved to Manchester Township, now in the county of York.
