David - Hope this EMail address is still good.

I have been working on my Bowles genealogy and Teri M Jeter sent me the info she had on Bowles. I think we are cousins of some sort. I think you are from the William Edward Bowles line. I am from the Charles Edward Bowles (born in Canada 1880) line. The history Teri sent me had little about my line, although I can clarify some of it, as well as to clarify some of the cryptic notes in Emma Mary Thornett's (my Great-Grandmother) Bible about the Sharps. Do you know who actually has the Bible?? I have a letter from Margaret Bowles to my mother (1983) in which she says Frank Bowles had it but she didn't know where it was at that point.

Teri said she is not related (not sure where she fits then).

Judy Morgan in an 18 May 1989 letter writes,

"Aunt Edith [Bowles] Walchli verifies the story about Uncle Charlie [Charles Edward Bowles] - Uncle Dike [William Edward Bowles]. She said it was very hush-hush at the time. Charlie & Carrie had 2 children, Helen & a boy. They wereseparated & adopted out. Helen [Bowles] married Bob Sharp & was friendly with Aunt Ruth [I am not sure whom Judy Morgan meant, perhaps Mrs. John Balazs née Ruth Grace Bowles or Mrs James Leonard 'Bud' Bowles née Belden. - D.A.N.] She [Helen] eventually located her brother, but apparently didn't want to continue any relationship."
