Florence Mildred Jorgensen was born on November 20, 1915 in Rock Lake Township, Lyon County, Minnesota to Christ and Anna (Erlandson) Jorgensen. Florence attended school and grew to adulthood in Balaton, Minnesota.
She was united in marriage to Henry Terhark, on July 16, 1934 at the Methodist Church parsonage in Balaton, Minnesota. The couple made their home in Russell and Lynd, Minnesota and in 1940 they moved to a farm near Balaton, Minnesota. After Henry retired in 1969 they moved into Balaton.
She was a member of the Balaton United Methodist Church, the Methodist Women and Elderly Fellowship.
Florence enjoyed gardening, embroidery, cross stitch and crossword puzzles.
Florence Mildred Jorgensen Terhark died on August 26, 1994, at the Tyler Hospital of cancer of the lung, liver and kidneys at the age of 78 years nine months and six days.
She is survived by her children, Arnold & June Terhark, Balaton, Minnesota, Mary & Wesley Carlson, Worth, Illinois, Betty Olthoff, Reading, Minnesota, Carol & Chuck Fielder, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, James & Kathy Terhark, Amery, Wisconsin, Jerry & Beth Terhark, Tyler, Minnesota, and Barb & Chuck Dokka Dillion, Minnesota; 22 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren, one sister, Anna Fiedler, Pipestone, Minnesota, two brother, Chester Jorgensen, Parma Heights, Ohio and Gorden Jorgensen, Marshall, Minnesota.
