ALOYS F. VOGEL
El Paso - Aloys F. Vogel, 56, died at 4:40 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph's hospital where he had been a patient since July 31st. He had been ill since March. The body was brought to Otto-Vincent Memorial home in El Paso and was to be taken to the family residence Friday morning. Brief services will be held there at 9 a.m. Saturday and at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic church. The Rev. Fr. Eugene Hoffman of Lemont and Rev. Fr. Roger Hengehold of Minonk will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery.
He was born July 29, 1893 near Benson a son of Frank and Mary Gretter Vogel. He married Julia L. Lineeman June 28, 1916 and engaged in farming until 1945. Since that time he has been employed by the Pfister Hybrid corn company at El Paso.
Surviving are his wife; five sons, Fred, Gilbert, Alvin, Loren and Frank and a daughter, Mary Lois, all of El Paso. Also two grandchildren; four brothers, Lawrence of Benson, Edward of El Paso; Raymond of Roanoke and Eugene, Bloomington; four sisters, Mrs. Irene Breese, Heyworth and Mrs. Anna Mayer, Mrs. Helen Pfister, Mrs. Isabella Cleary all of El Paso.
A brother died in infancy and a son, Pfc. Howard Vogel, was killed in action Feb. 18, 1945.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church of El Paso.
