"Funeral Held Wednesday for Mrs. Minnie Brass
Funeral services were held for Mrs. Minnie Brass, Wednesday afternoon at the First Baptist Church here, ... .... Mrs. Fred A. Brass, or Minnie Brass, passed away last Sunday evening at 6:30 p.m., July 5th at her home here in Buffalo Center after some four weeks of illness. She had been blessed of God with an age of 82 years, 11 months and 18 days.She was born in Hardin County, near Cleves, Iowa, where her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Fisher were farming. The date of her birth is July 17th, 1877.
When Minnie Brass was a young lady of 23 years of age she was united in marriage to Mr. Fred A. Brass in Franklin County, near Iowa Falls. December 27, in the year 1900 was their wedding day, and Rev. E. C. Jansen performed the ceremony.... It was during those early years here that they began to attend the First Baptist Church and it was here that both, of them accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as their own personal saviour.
The home of Fred and Minnie Brass was blessed with four children, one of which has already preceded her in death. But then as the years went by, sorrow again came to Minnie Brass, when her husband passed away in March 17th, 1946. ..." <>

"Rites Held For Frederich H. Brass
Fredrich H. Brass was born in Hampschwerum, East Frisia, Germany on June 10, 1878 and ended his earthly pilgrimage on March 17, 1946 at Buffalo Center, Iowa after having attained the age of 67 years, 9 months and 7 days.
In 1880 the deceased migrated with his parents to the United States and located at Ackley, Iowa. Later he again moved with his parents to Iowa Falls, Iowa. On December 27, 1900 he was united in marriage with Minnie Fisher and establishedhis own home at Burdette, Iowa. In 1906 he came with his family to Buffalo Center, Iowa, where he spent the rest of his earthly life. One son, Aeilt, preceded him in death. One brother of the departed, John Brass, also preceded him indeath.
He was converted during a series of evangelistic meetings in 1907 and at that time he made a profession of his faith in Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour.
On March 12 the departed suddenly became ill with pneumonia which also caused his earthly life to cease. He passed away at his farm home northeast of Buffalo Center in the morning of March 17th.
He is survivied by his wife; two daughters: Annie, Mrs. Tony Meyerin, Thompson, Iowa; Alice, Mrs. Leonard Hoffman, Buffalo Center, Iowa; one son, Willie, residing in the parental home; 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; 4 brothers:Wierd Brass and Ehme Brass both of Buffalo Center, Iowa; Eppie Brass and Klass Brass, also one ister, Mrs. Elizabeth Duit, all of owa Falls, - Iowa, besides many other relatives and friends who mourn his sudden departure.
Funeral services took place on Wednesday afternoon, March 20th at the local Baptist Church. The pastor, Rev. Martin DeBoer conductng the services, being assisted by Rev. J. J. Renz of George, Iowa, and a mixed quartette rendered fourappropriate numbers. Interment was made in the Olena Mound Cemetery. May the Lord console the bereaved.
The following out of town relatives and friends attended the funeral.
