BUFFALO CENTER - Myrtle Berhow, 70, of Buffalo Center, died Monday (Sept. 2, 2002) at her home in Buffalo Center.

Visitation was held on Wednesday at Winter Funeral Home in Buffalo Center and one hour prior to services today at the church.
Myrtle Jean Berhow, daughter of Hermie and Peggy (Doege) Weaver, was born Oct. 23, 1931, at Buffalo Center, Iowa.
On Nov. 2, 1949, she was united in marriage to Donald W. Berhow at the First Congregational Church in Buffalo Center. Most of their married life was spent on a farm northwest of Thompson. After retiring from farming, the couple moved toBuffalo Center, where they resided.
Myrt gave freely of herself for 17-plus years as a Hospice volunteer. She also filled her time working at the Pumpkin Patch near Thompson and clerking at auction sales. Myrt was a very active member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She hadnumerous interests. A few of her favorites included cake decorating, camping and fishing.
Myrt passed away on Monday, Sept. 2, 2002, at her home surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her husband, Don, of Buffalo Center; two sisters, Verna Jean Ewert, of Milwaukee, Wis., and Zella Mirick and her husband, Dusty, of Eagan, Minn.; and one brother, Gary Weaver and fiancée Alice Welsh of Melbourne, Fla.She is also survived by her extended family: Bob and Linda, Jim and Janean, Tom and Connie, Randy and Mary, and Doug and Janet Berhow and Don and Joy Wilson; plus a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
