Know all men by these presents that WC Coffee & McRaven J.J.A. Lane Shields * Puckett and John Smith members of "the Pittsburg Town Company" for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and seventy three & 25/100 dollars to us in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have this day the date hereof bargained sold and conveyed and by these presents do bargain sell and convey unto William C. Paine all of the right title and trust vested in us as aforesaid in and to that tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in that part of the town of Grinada(sic) formerly called Pittsburg in the county of Yallobusha and State of Mississippi known and designated as survey number five Beginning at the South East corner of Wm Humphreys survey number four running thence west Two chains & thirty links to a stake thence South ten chains & twenty two links to a stake thence East ten chains & thirty links to a stake thence North two chains & twenty five links to the beginning which tract or parcel of land containing by estimate two & 31/100 acres to the same more of less together with all and singular the appurtenances thereto of right appertaining we do hereby warrant and forever defend unto the said William C. Paine his heirs and assigns ___ ourselves and each of our heirs executors administrators and assigns and against all and singular the claim or claims of all and every other person or persons whatever.sha Deed Book F - Page 402that I William C Payne of the town of Black Hawk County of Caroll and State of Mississippi have constituted made and appointed and by these presents do make constitute and appoint my Father-In-Law John Gibbs of the County of Yalabusha and state aforesaid my true and lawfull Attorney for me and in my name and stead to my use to ask demand sue for levy___ and receive all such sum or sums of moneys debts rents goods wares dues accounts and other demands, whatsoever which are or shall be due owing payable or belonging to me or detained from me in any manner or way by any means whatsoever by any person or persons whatsoever or any thing appertaining to the business of the firm of Gibbs & Payne to sell dispose the real estate or personal property belonging to me or to the firm of Gibbs & Payne the hold or any part thereof as my said attorney may__ property.
