He must have married Anne Beauchamp not later than 1490, since his eldest son was of age in 1512. This was a very important marriage, for Anne Beauchamp was 2nd daughter and co-heir of Richard Beauchamp, 2nd Lord Beauchamp of Powyck, which title is now held by Richard Lygon's descendant, the present Sir William Lygon, 8th Earl Beauchamp of Powyck.e 2nd Lord Beauchamp of Powyck was born in 1434, and died in January 1502-3, without male heirs. His children were Elizabeth, married Lord Willoughby of Broke; Anne, married Richard Lygon; and Margaret, married William Reade of Gloucester.ceipt for part of the payment due in respect of his father's death; and on June 2, 1511, when he granted a lease of a messuage called Brightyntone.n Worcester 1509 and 1510 had custody of the lands, wardship, and marriage of Richard, son and heir of William Reade. Anne Lygon was over 40 years of age at her husband's death; she survived till July 22, 1534. Her Will is summarized in Roll 16. According to the Will and the Deeds she had six sons; the Visitation of Worcestershire adds Thomas and Edward. Issue of Richard6 and Anne (Beauchamp) Lygon:ord in 1531.
