I have been researching his brother, William Catcott, known as the "Baker Bard of Wells" (he was a baker that wrote many poems!).
In fact, I photographed and added the Catcott family graves, located at Binegar, Somerset, to Findagrave.
There was a well-known biography of the "Baker Bard of Wells" published in the early 1900s that stated the Catcott family was born and brought up in Binegar, Somerset.
This is incorrect - they were born in West Horrington near Wells. This was corrected by a historian writing to the "Somerset Notes & Queries" column in the Taunton Courier, and Western Advertiser Newspaper and published on 20 July 1921: "there is a slight mistake about the birthplace.
He was born at West Horrington, near Wells (not Binegar)". The Bath and Wells baptism book also states George's residence as West Horrington.
West Horrington (a very small village - but very pretty) forms part of the parish of St Cuthbert Out - see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horrington.
