MillerFollowing from unknown source: Bryant Jones Kittrell came to Gadsden at age ofabout 20. He operated a store with brother Robert Norman known as Kittrell,Kittrell, and Meeks. He successfully operated a large sawmill on the west bankof Coasa River near the present site of the Municipal Auditorium. His beautifultwo-story colonial home stood on the exact site of the auditorium.Mr. Kittrell was one of the ablest businessmen ever to locate in Gadsden.His associates used to say that if he had lived, he would have been one of therichest men in the state. He had very poor health, and was badly handicappedby it. He was an indefeatable worker, having tremendous energy. He was aman of highest integrity and his death was considered an irreparable blow toGadsden.All children but Maude were MENTIONED AT TIME of his death.Dot took pictures of the Pogue-Kittrell plot and the site of the homeplacewhere DeeDee grew up. It has since had the auditorium constructed on it.Dr. Wm. Description: A successful businessman who was said to have been in poor health for years while still being a successful businessman in Gadsden,Alabama. Bryant was the son of William Jones Kittrell and ElizabethMartha Cain. Due to misreading handwriting and some misspelling Elizabeth's maiden name Cain has been recorded many times incorrectly as Came and other unlikely last names.

William Jones is the son of Bryant and Mary Norman Kittrell. Bryant theson of Jonathan and Tabby Bryant Kittrell. Jonathan the son of Jonathanand Elizabeth (Bryant) Kittrell. Jonathan the son of Jonathan and AnnDurant Kittrell yielding JonJonJonBryWmj as his Kittrell lineage.

Bryant's wife was (Nancy) Barnette Miller who remarried and lived more than fifty years longer than her first husband.
