William Hardy, Jr. from First Church Bradford Jun 7, 1727. Son of Williamand Sarah Hardy. Born in Bradford Aug 10, 1692. Married Hannah BurbankMar 8, 1716. Chosen Deacon Dec 20, 1728 and Elder 1730. He lived in ahouse on the river bank north of where the Groveland Bridge now standswhere he died Nov 12, 1759, aged sixty-seven years, three months and twodays. Buried in this cemetery.

Until about 1722 William was know as "William, 3rd, to distinguish himfrom William. After the death of his father William, about 1722, he wasknown as "William Jr.", to distinguish him again from William, who hadbecome William Sr., after his death on 14 Apr 1752, he was called"William Sr."
William Hardy was chosen "Deacon" of the new Congregational Church, beingelected to serve in that capacity in 1728.
William died at Bradford, Mass., 12 Nov 1759. He had made a will 6 Feb1758. The will was proved 10 Dec. 1759. He mentioned his wife Hannah inthe will.
