Sampson Fowler, son of George, and Ada Fowler, married Cummie Tilatha Jane Fowler, the daughter of Labun, and Unity (Duncan) Fowler, she was his 4th cousin. Sampson inherited land from his father and purchased other land, at his death he owned over 600 acres in North, and South, Carolina that was divided among his 5 surviving children. His baby daughter remembers him as a good natured person, slow to anger and loved to pull jokes on people.
He lived and raised his family on the Sandy Bluff Road, just West of what is now US 701. The Sandy Bluff Road between 701 and 410 that he lived on is better known as " Samp`s Cow Pasture Road".
Sampson was first buried in the George Fowler Cemetery, but after the death of his wife Cummie, he was moved to Forest Lawn Cemetery, beside her. Forest Lawn Cemetery is located in Columbus County, North Carolina East of Tabor City, NC. The George Fowler Cemetery is named after Sampson`s father, and is located in Columbus County, North Carolina, Southeast of Tabor City, NC.
On 7 June 1906 Horry County Deed Book YY page64, A. R. Harrelson, (Grantor) to Sampson Fowler, (Grantee) for $300.00 for 91 acres in Green Sea, Township.
