Andrew, and his wife (b. ca. 1790) had six or seven childern in Horry County in 1840, but they did not remain there. I now belive that the Pike County group headed by Rhoderick (Reddick) and containing 70 year-old Anna is Andrew`s wife. Anna is of the right age, and all other Columbus - Horry wives as old as she are accounted for. I make Andrew`s to have been 1f: a daughter (b. 1817SC); 1: Rhoderick (b. 1820SC); 2f: a Daughter (1823SC); 3f: Edith Ada (b.ca. 1825SC m. George Fowler); 2: Absey (b. ca. 1829SC living and working for her aunt Nancy in Horry in 1850); 4f: Molsey ( b. 3 May 1831SC, m. 26 July 1854 Edward Lee Rhodes, issue Sarah, Dawson, Lucy, John, Kitsey, Susan, Russell Edward, and Thomas). Molsey belived she was born in Georgia, about 80 miles north of Alanta. I suggest that the family lived there while she was under ten, and she supposed she must have been born there. Certainly in the census of 1850 her birthplace was given as SC, presumably by her mother Anna.
The above by Richard G. Fowler, from his book ( A History Of The Fowler Family Of Southeastern North Carolina).
