from his father's marriage to Rebecca Reynolds, including John and David

who were born in Switzerland. The John Teeter Beam family lived on
Buffalo
Creek in Lincoln (now Cleveland) County, North Carolina.
Christopher Beam married Margaret Gordon of Lincoln County of another
pioneer
family. They built a home and settled on Brushy Creek in Lincoln (now
Cleveland) County, where they owned a large estate. They had ten children:
John; Lucy; Abel C.; Elizabeth Carson; Jordan; Ann Long; Sarah; Esther;
Oliver
P.; and Marquis Lafayette Beam. Sarah Beam married John Paxton Elliott,
son of
John Crenshaw Elliott and Mary Donoho.
Christopher Beam died May 27, 1849, and is buried at Zion Baptist
Church. His
wife survived him many years. After the sale of the Christopher Beam
estate,
Margaret Gordon Beam lived with her daughter Sarah, who married John
Paxton
Elliott. Margaret Gordon Beam died May 7, 1873, and was buried beside her
husband at the Zion Baptist Church cemetery.
According to the Captain David Ramsour Hoyle entry (#1523) in "Peiter Heyl
And His Descendants", by Elizabeth Hoyle Rucker, Captain David Ramsour
Hoyle
married Mary Donoho Elliott, daughter of John Paxton Elliott and Sarah
Beam. It also states that Sarah Beam was the daughter of Christopher
Beam and
Margaret Garden and that Christopher Beam was the son of John T. Beam.
