   EDWIN B. VOSBURGH, Sr.
   Edwin B. Vosburgh, Sr., aged 61, of Charlotte, N. C, died at noon on April 29, in the Moses Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro, N.C. He was stricken ill on the
   day of the death of his mother, Mrs. John R. Vosburgh of Cooperstown, which occurred April 24.
   Mr. Vosburgh was born February 16, 1902, in Johnstown, the son of John R. and Alice (Baker) Vosburgh. He graduated from Johnstown High School and Syracuse
   University in 1923 with a degree in Business Administration. He was a member of Delta Upsilon Fraternity.
   He was president of the Ed Vosburgh & Company Furniture Manufacturers Representatives of Charlotte, N. C, in partnership with his son, Edwin B. Vosburgh,
   Jr. He was married to the former Arlene Veghte in Johnstown in June, 1925.
   Surviving are his wife; one son, Edwin, Jr.; two daughters, Mrs. Edward Rich and Mrs. H. Tape Bowers and five grandchildren, all of Charlotte, N. C; two brothers,
   Frederick G. Vosburgh of Bethesda, Md., vice president and associate editor of the National Geographic Magazine and John R. Vosburgh, Jr. of Nyack, editor of the Audubon Magazine; one sister, Mrs. Loring B. Peck, medical record librarian at the Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown; two uncles and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday in Charlotte, N. C. Burial
   will be in Charlotte.

   POPULAR LOCAL COUPLE WEDDED; Miss Arlene Veghte Became Bride of Edwin Baker Vosburgh Last Evening.
   Miss Arlene Veght, daughter of Mr and Mrs. George Veght, 308 West State street, became the bride of Edwin Baker Vosburgh, son of Mr. and Mrs. John R. Vosburgh. 501 South Market street at 6 o'clock last night. The ceremony, one of the prettiest of the June season, was performed in the living room of the bride's home. Marching down the stairway to the strains of the wedding march, played by the orchestra of Walter Wallace Smith, the procession came to a stand before a large bank of palms, fems and peonies in front of the fire place in the living room of the home. The bride was given away in marriage by her father.
   Rev. Charles MeKenzie, D. D., pastor of the First Presbyterian church performed the ceremony. The wedding was witnessed only by the relatives of the two families and immediate friends. -It was one of the moat celebrated of the present season.
   The general color scheme of green and white was cleverly used in the general decoration.
   The bride was attired in a gown of white satin trimmed with Duchess lace. Her dainty veil was caught up with orange blossoms while .she carried a bouquet of bridal rosea and lillies of tne valley.  Miss Mary Mead of Gioversville was the. bridesmaid. She was daintily attired in a gown of lavender chiffon. She carried a large bouquet of Ophelia roses. Frederick G. VoBburgh, brother of the bridegroom was the best man. Little Miss Jane V. Crawford, of Buffalo, niece of the bride was the flower girl. The little miss was dressed in yellow silk. She carried a lavender basket filled with sweet peas of the same color.  The entire procession with the house decorations made one of the prettiest wedding scenes seen in Johnstown in some time. Following the ceremony a delicious wedding dinner was served under the supervision of Mrs. Anna Gordinler, cateress of Johnstown. The center piece of the table consisted of a large bouquet of lavender sweet peas and Coolidge roses.
   The young couple departed on a two weeks automobile trip. Following their trip they will take up their residence in Utica where Mr. Vosburgh is head of the sales promotion and advertising department of the G. W. Dunham company.
   Miss Veghte is one of Johnstown's well known young women and is highly popular among the younger set. She is a graduate of the Johnstown High school Class of 1923, following which she attended Wells college.  Mr. Vosburgh is a graduate of Johnstown High school, class of 1919, and Syracuse University class of '28, where h e received a degree of Bachelor of Science In Business Administration.  He is a Delta Upsilon fraternity man.
