Feb 23, 1668; m. Mary Morse in 1692. She was b. Aug 31, 1672, and was the dau. of Lieut. Anthony and Mary (Barnard) Morse of Newbury, Mass. Lieut. Anthony Morse, b.1638, was the son of Anthony and Mary Morse, and was twice married. He had a large family, and d. Feb 25, 1716-7. His second wife Mary Barnard, b. in Salisbury, Mass., Sep 22, 1645, m. Anthony Morse Nov 11, 1669, and lived in Newbury, Mass. He d. and she m. 2nd, Philip Eastman, Aug 22, 1678, and lived in Haverhill and afterwards in Woodstock (see under James CORBIN who m. Hannah Eastman, dau. of Philip and Mary and half-sister to the wife of Jabez CORBIN). The father of Mary Barnard was Thomas Barnard of Salisbury, who was killed by the Indians at Amesbury before 1667. He m. Eleanor ______before 1645; she m. 2nd, George Little of Newbury, July 19, 1681, and was living Nov 27, 1694. Anthony Morse, Sr. b. at Marlboro, Wiltshire, England, May 9, 1606, emigrated to America in 1635, settled at Newburg, and d. there Oct 12, 1686. He was a man of influence and high standing... Lieut. Jabez CORBIN settled in Woodstock about 1688, where his home lot was No. 48 He was an active citizen of Woodstock and a partner of his brother James in store keeping. His occupation was given in deeds as that of "a merchant and weaver." He sold land in Quinnatisset, now Thompson, in 1711,. which was said to have been "much infested with bears, wolves and Indians, and where a log fort was necessary for the protection of the settlers.
In 1693 he was allowed twelve square rods of land for a shop. In 1726 he sold a large tract of land in Thompson to John Dwight. In 1721 he was granted liberty to build a pew, and in 1722 had the fifth choice of pews in the new meeting-house."

He made his will April 24, 1736, making his son Robert his executor. This will was probated November 16, 1736. He was buried in the old cemetery at Woodstock hill, where a rude gravestone still stands, on which the name only is now legible..

(II) Lieutenant Jabez CORBIN, son of Clement CORBIN, was baptized February 23, 1668; married, in 1692, Mary Morse, born August 31, 1672, daughter of Lieutenant Anthony and Mary (Barnard) Morse, of Newbury. Lieutenant Anthony was son of Anthony, the immigrant, and wife Mary. The home lot of Jabez CORBIN was No. 48 in Woodstock, whither he came in 1688, and he was in partnership with his brother James in trade. He is called a merchant and weaver in various deeds. He was constable of Woodstock in 1725. He married (second) July 5, 1728, Mary Edmunds. His will was dated April 24, 1736, and proved November 16, 1736. He died October 23, 1736, and his gravestone is standing. Children, born at Woodstock: Thomas, June 26, 1693; Dorcas, December 11, 1694; Jabez, January 4, 1696-7; John, mentioned below; Joseph, December 14, 1700; Joseph, March 17, 1702; Benjamin, May 23, 1704; Ebenezer, April 15, 1706; Eliphalet, April 26, 1708; Robert, May 24, 1710.
