"During World War I, Chuck served in the US Army's 32nd Auxiliary Remount Department at Camp Cody, New Mexico. After that, according to his sister, Lulu CORBIN Nash, Chuck was an electrician, wiring many houses in the towns of Day and Clark Counties, South Dakota; and, he also worked on the lines running from town to town. During WWII, he lived in Stockton, California and worked in the shipyards. In the 1950's he lived in Castroville, California where he was employed as a field foreman by a large grower/packing plant of fresh produce."

CHUCK CORBIN, 63, OF CASTROVILLE HAS FATAL ATTACK
Charles Adam (Chuck) CORBIN, 63, was stricken suddenly Saturday afternoon while at work on a ranch near Castroville and was pronounced dead on arrival at a Salinas hospital. He was field superintendent for Monterey Bay Packing company for the last 17 years and made his home in Castroville. Mr CORBIN was a native of South Dakota.
Surviving are one son, Calvin CORBIN, Minneapolis, Minn. Three sisters, Mrs Vivian Brice and Mrs Janette Martin, both of Portland, Oregon and Mrs Lulu Nash of Lily, South Dakota; and one brother, Clarence CORBIN also of Lily.
He was a member and past president of Castroville Rotary club.
Funeral services will be held in Müller's mortuary chapel at 10 A.M. Wednesday, followed by interment in the Castroville Community cemetery. Rosary will be recited in the mortuary chapel tomorrow at 8 P.M.
