Beatrix de Sabran , also known as Béatrix de Sabran de Castellard , Béatrice de Claustral , Dame Marie Béatrice du Caylar or Marie Béatrice de Sabran, Countess of Embrun and Gap , with the counties of Gap, Embrun, is the granddaughter of Count William II of Forcalquier and the younger sister of Garsende de Sabran (c. 1180 - around 1242), Countess of Provence and heiress of the Counts of Forcalquier .
She is the daughter of Rainier de Sabran , lord of the Caylar and Ansouis , co-lord of Uzes , and Garsende , Countess of Forcalquier, lady of the Tower of Aigues and Ansouis .
She married in 1202 or 1203, André Dauphin of Burgundy ( 1184 - 1237 ), Count of Albon and of the Viennese from 1228 to 1237 , known erroneously as Guigues VI . They had a daughter: Beatrice de Viennois (1205-vers 1248), first engaged (1207) to the son of Hervé IV of Donzy , count of Nevers, then married (in 1214) to Amaury VI (died 1241) , Count de Montfort, Viscount of Carcassonne and Beziers. The marriage of Beatrice de Sabran and André Dauphin was dissolved in 1210, but Beatrice left her rights over her counties of Embrun and Gap to the Dauphin.
