    m (25 May 1306)¬â€ JEANNE de Bar, daughter of HENRI III Comte de Bar & his wife Eleanor of England (-31 Aug 1361). The Chronicle of Lanercost names "filium·Ä¶Edwardum et filiam quam Johannes de Warenna comes duxit in uxorem" as the children of "Alianora filia regis" and "Henrico comiti Barienti"[1155]. The Annales Londonienses record the marriage "VIII Kal Jun" in 1306 of "dominus Johannes de Warenne" and "filiam comitis de Bar et Elianor√¶ fili√¶·Ä¶regis Edwardi"[1156]. Froissart records that "la contesse de Garanes·Ä¶estoit suer au conte de Bar"[1157].

    In 1276 he agreed that his father might at his death dispose of the Earl's lands in Norfolk. In 1285 he was knighted at Winchester; and in the same year obtained quittance from the common summons in Essex, Bucks and Norfolk. He married, probably in June 1285, Joan, daughter of Robert (DE VERE), 5th EARL OF OXFORD, by Alice, daughter and heir of Gilbert DE SANFORD. He died v.p. 15 December 1286, having attended a tournament at Croydon, where he is said to have been ambushed and cruelly slain by his rivals.     William de Warenne, Knight, son and heir of John de Warrenne and Alice de Lusignan, was born 15 Jan 1255/6 at Warren, Sussex, England. He married Joan de Vere about 10 June 1285. She is the daughter of Robert de Vere, Knight, and Alice de Sanford. They had one son, John, and one daughter, Alice. "Sir William was knighted at Winchester in 1285." He was ambushed and slain by his rivals after a tournament at Croyden 15 Dec 1286. Name

    Joan De Vere was born on 1262 in Hedingham Castle, Essex, England to Robert V De Vere, 5th Earl of Oxford and Alice De Saunderford De Vere. Joan married William Plantagenet De Warren on June 1285 and had 2 children: Sir John De Warren, 8th Earl of Surrey and Alice De Warren. She passed away BEFORE November 23, 1293 in England and is buried in Lewes Priory, Lewes, Sussex, England.
